Details for Factory Visit

LAW PROJECT - FACTORY VISIT
 
10 MARKS
 

The Project will be made through :
 
(a)    A presentation of 30 mins by all members of the group;
 
(b)   A bound report which shall be submitted to Prof. Aazmeen Kasad which covers all the findings specified over-leaf; and
 
(c)    Viva Voce examinations for each member on the Project. 

 
The Project involves visiting the Factory and procuring, inter alia, the following details:
  
1)                  Full Name of the Factory
2)                  Address of the Factory and details of the Occupier
3)                  Details of Origin of the Factory
4)                  Registration (License) Number of the Factory
5)                  Total No. of workers
6)                  List of products manufactured in the factory and the Manufacturing Process involved
7)                  Exhaustively list the safety, health and welfare measures adopted by the factory, as required by the Factories Act. Specify which of the measures enlisted by the Act were not adopted.
8)                  Exhaustively elucidate on the working hours and overtime policy of the factory
9)                  Does the manufacturing process constitute a hazardous process as per the Factories Act ?
10)              List key rules of the Factory (A copy of the entire Rules of the Factory to be attached).
11)              Are any Young Persons employed at the Factory ?
12)              Does the Factory have a trade union ?  Provide exhaustive details of the factory trade union
13)              Is the Factory covered by the Employees State Insurance Act ? Provide details of how the factory complies with the provisions of ESI Act.
14)              Is the Factory / company covered by the Provident Funds & M. P. Act, 1952 ?  Provide details of how the factory complies with the provisions of Provident Fund Act.
15)              List your observations on whether the Factory complies with the provisions of the Factories Act or not.
16)              Any other relevant findings, details, observations or comments.
